Default Where does your dog sleep?

We own two dogs, Dex and Dakota, both shelter dogs about 70 pounds. Each has a bed of their own in a corner of our bedroom. Neither is allowed on the furniture, a fact that doesn't seem to bother either dog (except on really sunny days, when Dakota tries to sleep on a beanbag chair in our family room.)

Over the past week, we posted a survey on our web site that asked where your dog sleeps. I was surprised to find that most (33%) people said "In a person's bed." The next most popular answer (30%) was "Anywhere s/he wants."

Perhaps our visitors are biased? I'm really curious whether this is true of families in general.

In a dog bed in the laundry at night. During the day she's likely to be asleep under my desk or on my lap or my husband's lap if we're watching TV. She is not allowed in the bedrooms or the lounge room. Our other dog is and has always been an outside dog who sleeps in his kennel.
