Default Where was your favorite garden? Why?

Our favorite garden we visited was in Wales, about 100 km west of Chester, UK called Bodnant Gardens. This place had over 100 acres of different garden plots -- waterfalls, walk ways, rose gardens. It was very beautiful. They had clematis that looked to be 100 years old from the size of the trunk. We were so entranced, we didn't notice everyone else had left! We found ourselves locked in. Luckily, the groundskeeper waited because he noticed our car in the parking lot. Unlike the US, places in the UK have limited open hours.

Mine also was in England, but unfortunately I can not remember off the top of my head without going through my travel logs. It was somewhere just about 45 minutes outside of Heathrow to the southwest if I remember correctly. I have never seen so many gorgeous flowers in one place and everything was so green. The pathways were grass, not concrete so it was so easy to forget you were in a public garden. There was a gorgeous estate on the grounds with beautiful peacocks! We too stayed past closing and they were nice enough to find us and help us find our way out.
