WalMart is our family favorite. If I do our grovery shooping there to I save at least 50 dollars. My husband shops at Old Navy for clothes, but since I rarley leave the hosue anymore...I shop at walmart for my stuff, and Kenda is growing so fast I get teh cheapest clothes I can for her. . Walmart is good cheap, and it lasts as long as it needs to.

I agree with Sasher. I love love, love walmart. I save more money there than if I shopped on base. I've found that base prices are inflated. I believe they prey on the young military - they don't have much credit yet and depend on their star cards. Every time I've price shopped at the base, I've found it cheaper out in town.

I don't even shop at the commissary much anymore. If I lived within 10 minutes of one, I would. But honestly, Walmart has prices that sometimes is more, but mostly competes nicely with the commissary!

I still get my diapers at the commissary though. And crystal light.

I unfortunately have to shop at target, they are so overpriced. I live in an area where they wont let Walmart in. they are scared it will put the little guys out of business, and they want the small town feel, even though I live in a very busy area. urghh. The nearest walmart is 45 minutes away. I have only made it there once in the last year and it was a chore. I sure hope Walmart wins the fight in my area. I just dont think these people know what they are missing

Don't forget the thrift stores like Savers. I've found very nice stuff for a very good price. It's the place I go to for jeans for my boys because I refuse to pay more than $5 for a pair of jeans that will have holes in the knees in less than 6 months!

And consignment stores, if you have them in your area. We have Kid 2 Kid here.

I shop walmart too. I like that they accept competitor prices. So I just have to go through the grocery ads and find the items I need. Usually walmart is still cheaper. I go to dollor stores for cleaners and little items.

Wal mart is usually cheaper, but sometimes at target you can get diapers and shampoo and stuff like that on clearance that Wal-mart usually doesnt clearance. I love shopping off season at stores at the mall and buy for the next year, i've gotten name brand stuff for like 2 bucks a piece.
