What you like about being a Student Mommy: I really like knowing that I am able to follow my educational dreams even though I am a mom. I also like showing my daughter how important education is, and I like being able to learn new skills.
What you don't like about being a Student Mommy: Sometimes it's hard to study when I am supposed to, and I often feel that I miss out on baby time in order to finish up on my homework or go to classes.

What you like about being a Student Mommy: My schedule! I'm only in school 2 days a week, Monday for an hour, and Wednesday for 4 hours. I also like doing homework at the same time my daughters are-and the fact that my 8th grader helped me with my math last semester!!! lol
What you don't like about being a Student Mommy: Hm....??? (***crickets sounding***) can't think of anything I don't like.

Studying radiologic technology (once my prep. courses are finished!)
I like the idea that I can still learn something new, even though I'm considered
(gasp!) middle aged.
What I don't like about being a student/mother? When someone gets sick, I'm the
one who misses class to handle things. Dh wouldn't dream of helping with that...
which is one of the reasons I'm going back to school. Tired of things being so
one-sided and I want the option to leave someday, once my kids are older.

What you like about being a Student Mommy: The only thing I like is knowing that it will all pay off in the future! Other than that, I really don't like it!
What you don't like about being a Student Mommy
: I particularly don't like being tired all the time, and then having to make it to class. Gambling classes, work, and baby is pretty tricky! Also, I would much rather spend my time with my babe rather than in class, but like I said, I know that it will all pay off!

Default Student Mommies

Hey all-
Bachelor's Program Full Time/English Lit/Columbia University NYC
5 kids-16M, 14F, 12M, 10F, 6M
I enjoy being a student Mom because it is great to be back in the thinking world & hopefully get a great job when I'm done.
I don't enjoy the struggle of balancing 5 kids, iffy finances, and being pulled in a million directions all the time. Also, the guilt I feel when I must devote large blocks of time to schoolwork.
I depend on scholarships, so the pressure to keep my grades up is HUGE!!! Here's to us!!!
