That would be me.
For the first time, we are having Christmas eve elsewhere. So I am baking pumpkin pie and some cheesecake tarts for dessert. This is for DS 1s future in laws (wedding was off, now it;s on again, sheesh)
Making a cheesecake for my friend - the realtor I do a lot of business with - and she and I will enjoy with her son and her dog christmas afternoon while DS 2 visits his dad.
DS 2 and I are going to try to make our cookie tree again like we did when he was little.

Made 9 loafs of banana nut bread today. Will make 6 more tomorrow. Hubby has a large family and we give one to each household. Brothers, sisters, neices and nephews. I've been making these for over 20+ years now. Most seem to look forward to it.

I am going to be making: pinwheels cookies, cherry puffs, crescent cookies, chocolate bark and possibly some chocolate chip shortbread. Also going to make on Christmas day an appleberry crisp...we normally have a plum/figgy pudding but mom didn't get around to making it and nobody here really likes it...we just like the brandy butter that goes with it!!! ...
If anybody would like the chocolate bark recipe (tastes sort of like Skor chocolate bars) or the shortbread they are really easy...(I also have a really easy chocolate fudge recipe which I haven't decided if I am making this year or not) or any of the others too..I will gladly post them...let me know...happy baking..!!!
Oh...and I love to bake...I really enjoy making all these goodies...(I like even better when they all turn out!! ) Some will be for friends as gifts but most will be for us to have after Christmas dinner.

Here it is Lessly:
5 Minute Fudge
1 2/3 c. granulated sugar
2 tblsp butter or margarine
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup undiluted evaporated milk
1 3/4 pkg of chocolate chips
1/2 pound of marshmallows, diced (I usually use the mini marshamallows..no cutting!)
3/4 c. walnuts **or other nut, or can be omitted
1 tsp vanilla
Grease 9x8x2 inch pan. In large saucepan, combine sugar, margarine, salt and milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips, marshmallows, nuts and vanilla. Beat vigorously until marshamallows have melted. Pour into pan, sprinkle with more nuts if desired. Cool. Cut into small squares. Makes about 5 dozen.
Enjoy!!
I'm going to through this one in too...It is soooooo good...soooo easy and everybody loves it!!!
Chocolate Bark (tastes like Skor bars)
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 sleeve unsalted soda crackers
1/2 pkg chocolate chips
Crush the crackers and spread evenly on a lightly greased/sprayed cookie sheet. Melt butter, add brown sugar and bring to a boil for 3 min. stirring frequently. Pour brown sugar mixture over the cracker crumbs, making sure that all the crumbs are covered..may need to spread around a little...Bake at 375* for about 7min or until really bubbly(watch it). Remove from oven. Sprinkle with about 1/2 a pkg of chocolate chips and let melt. As chips are melting smooth over with a wooden spoon or spatula. Cool..once pan is cooled can place in fridge. When hard, you can cut it or break it into yummy pieces!!!
Enjoy!! Sure to be a hit!!
**this recipe is for a small, if using a med-large cookie sheet double or triple the recipe
**graham crackers can be used in place of soda crackers
Happy Baking!!
