Default Who is Cooking Thanksgiving, 2007?

Hello!

Just checking - who is cooking for Thanksgiving, 2007?

The entire meal?

Bringing a dish to pass?

Helping family to cook the meal?

What are you having?

Please share!

I'm cooking. I do have every one help with putting together at least one dish. And my oldest son makes great yeast rolls.

My mom is cooking. I'll probably bring over a couple of pies.

Honestly, I don't think I will have Thanksgiving at my house until, well, my mom is no longer able (since she's only 56 and in great health/physical condition that should be a LONG time!) If we're not with my parents we're with DH's family. We're the only ones who don't live in their small town (about 3hrs away) so it's my MIL and SIL who do all the work (SIL has the biggest house so they have it at her place)

My hubby will be cooking the majority of the meal but those who will be coming are asked to bring a covered dish or beverage or something of the sort. I can't complain my hubby has the potential to be a gourmet chef and he enjoys it. I can cook a few things but nothing spectacular.

I am still not sure. I want to cook this year but with having a 4 month old at the time it may be kind of hard. Either way I am going to make something! What about you Angie? Are you cooking this year?

I will be spending thanksgiving at my in-laws house this year. My MIL always makes dinner for us and this year I think she's only letting us bring pie because I am having a C-section 5 days after and she doesn't want me doing too much work.

I am cooking the entire meal for just my family. We do however, throw a HUGE breakfast in the morning before the parade so we'll do that again this year and that is much bigger than cooking for our own little family. (--can you call my family little?)

I am trying to get my family to let me cook the entire meal so they aren't as stressed. But I am only getting to do the cornbread dressing, pecan pie and a chocolate pie. I love entertaining and making large dinners... I am weird. Pies are my main specialty. I make them all from scratch. Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holidays... besides Christmas... I love getting together with family and celebrating each other.
Christmas dinner will be on me... I'm making the turkey along with all the goodies. So that will be my true test!
Our Thanksgiving dinner consists of
-turkey of course
-cornbread dressing
-broccoli and cheese casserole
-mashed potatoes
-candied sweet potatoes
-macaroni and cheese casserole
-rolls
-pecan pie
-chocolate pie
-pumpkin pie
Although this year will be a tad on the sad side with out my cousin. We'll be serving her favorite dish... broccoli and cheese casserole. I'm hoping that we'll be able to celebrate her life rather than be sad.

For the past two years, I've cooked a full vegan Thanksgiving dinner. My vegan brother is touring cross country this year, but I think I'll still do it anyway. I love vegan Thanksgiving food!

I've always wanted to ask this but never had anyone I knew well enough to ask. . .what do you make for dessert at a vegan Thanksgiving dinner?
