Angry Why are health visitors so horrible??!!!

Last week I went to get Cody weighed and measured. He was coming up for 9 weeks old. When i got there i thought hangon.. they havent sent me an appointment for his firstset of injections. So i asked myhealth visitor and she justsaid turnup at doctors on friday morning..so i thought great they havent even bothered sending the paper work out. When i got home after Cody had his first injections, they had sent thepaper work tome that day and wanted me togo near theend of this month. Also when Cody was about to have injections the health visitor Yanked his trousers(pants) down and jst stabbed himin the legwith the needle. It's disgusting.
Sorry people i just needed to vent!!11
Thanks Kirsty06 - Mummy 2 Cody - 1oweeks old.

I hear you! Some people! My last visit at the health clinic I could have stangled the health nurse! I hope that you don't get the same person next time...if you do you can always refuse to let her touch your babe.
BIG HUG to you and Cody! I hope the both of you feel better

Sorry you were treated that way...shots are hard enough without them being insensitive about it. Hugs to you and Cody! He's growing so fast!

Ouch! Poor little baby!

I should think that the nurses would be a little more caring and compassionate giving babies their injections.

Yes, I'm an RN and so is one of my sisters. She works for a pediatrician and I was a floor RN for many years. We both are excellent with shots - painless and quick. I still give yearly TB tests and flu shots to the staff in my dept. I think the technique is one that must be learned. It isn't like playing with darts.

(((Hugs)))

Where I am the paper work and consent forms don't come from your Gp or Health visitor they come from county. Where about in the UK are you? They also won't give the baby the shots without the appointment card or the right consent form. I'm sorry your health visitor was insenstive its the practice nurses that do out vaccination clinic cause there needs to be 2 of them to check the drugs are correct.

Did he only get the one needle?

aww poor babe, Libby was due to get her first lot today but she has a chest infection so I'm gonna leave it to the next clinic.

I think Cody and Libby are roughly the same age when was Cody born?
