Don't we all wished that we had been in line
for gasoline at this station.
Through an error, gas was temporarily for
35 cents/gallon. People were in line
w/ their cars and gas cans.

Does anybody remember when all gas stations
had attendants, that filled the gasoline tank,
washed the windshield, checked the oil,
and checked the pressure on the tires
as part of their routine services offered?
Gasoline was about 35 cents/gallon then.
I can remember a 1960's commercial for Gulf Gasoline
where a teenaged boy and his date
were in a Volkswagen Beetle,
and the gas station attendant was doing
all the above for just a gasoline purchase of 25 cents.
One quarter.
He did such a good job, the teenager
asked for another 25 cents of gasoline, just to
repeat it. Then, the teenaged boy searched the ashtray, his
pockets, and then asked the
girl if she had a quarter to pay!
