Default Wife with MS and major fatigue

I saw this forum title under health. I was surprised that there was not a sub-heading for MS. However, fatigue is such a common symptom of M.S. that many people deal with this on a daily basis. My wife has tried every prescription you can think of for her fatigue. She also drinks 1 to 2 energy drinks a day. Still, some days she cannot function and needs to take a nice long nap. No pill or drink can ever take the place of sleep.

Luckily, she does medical transcription from home and her job is very flexible. I stay home with the kids and try to be "Mr. Mom." I work part-time at a church, I write for Families.com, and I home-school 2 of our 4 kids. Now I'm starting to need those energy drinks. We are looking for natural alternatives to health problems and believe that nutrition and exercise are critical for better health, and a better quality of life.

We have read a lot about detoxing the body - especially the colon and the liver - in order to clean out the junk in our bodies. The next step is to eat a more natural diet, and use good nutritional supplements that are not found in enough supply in the food we eat to help maintain our health. Some of the best literature we have read includes, Jon Barron's: Baseline of Health, and, Sue Ellen Dickinson's: No More M.S., My Journey Back to Life.

If anyone out there has any suggestions on some other literature, or natural alternatives to M.S. (especially for fatigue) let us know. We would love to hear from you.

Thanks.

RichandLaura, so glad that you are able to feel free to share about your family and your wife's health issues.

Good to see that there is a new area for MS forums!
