Default Women Suicide Bombers

Now this just makes so much sense.

Al Quaeda is using women as suicide bombers. Oh, women aren't allowed anywhere in public where these terrorists rule - not even to get medical help, or food for their children, without a male escort. But to blow themselves up for the noble cause of oppression, wow, special dispensation. Suddenly the all important rules just don't apply.

The church lady in me is sneering "how convenient"!!!

Now what could make a woman want to be that complicit in her own oppression and that of her family?

Somehow I don't think it is the promise of all those black eyed virgins.....

Someone please explain for me what these women are thinking - if they are allowed to think at all,....

What I think is the worst is that the children are being brain-washed into hating people whom they don't even know anything about. They then say they want to be a martyr when they grow up. What a waste. These children are being poisoned by so much hate. There is going to be a generation of children who will really cause some trouble in the future. A shame. They could be so much more.
I saw a video called "Obsession" and it is about all of this. It is very eye opening.

To them, they are fighting against the oppressors, the evil american scum that bomb children with their war planes and invaded their country, forcing them into poverty, death, and embarrasment.

You have to see it from their point of view. Not just your own. To them, it's just faithful women helping to fight their noble cause.

I must be very selfish, because I can't think of any "cause" worth blowing myself up over.

I agree-they've been brainwashed since birth...that's all they know.

I get the reasons why Palestinian women might be motivated, or why female suicide bombers might be supporting Hamas. That's nationalism. But for Al Quaeda? The oppressors of women? The killers of husbands and then killers of women who venture out of the house for food? The occupiers of Islamic countries who oppress their own people to the point of no education, no viable economic growth, no medical care?

That's just too much of a stretch for me.

Women blowing themselves up doesn't bother me half as much as Al Quaida now turning their young (5-8yr) children into suicide bombers. The way that they do it, as well as many of the females, if that they wire them up, as you see in photos, but then they are remote detonating them. It is making it extremely dangerous for our troops over here (Iraq) because now everyone is a threat to them. The reason behind this, is they are fighting a war, with the Americans as the oppressors. What would you do if someone came into your country and starting taking over? No, that is not what we did, but that is how these terrorist cells view us. What you do not hear on the news is that we are actually winning this war against Al Quaida, why do you think they are going to such extreme measures as using women and children now? They are low on resources and experience.

I just think the irony is really something. They'll execute women for going anywhere in public without a man accompanying her, but that's somehow not necessary if she is going to be a suicide bomber.

But I guess the perverse logic is that if she's out walking around, the only solution is to have her die anyway.

"Over here"? You writing from Iraq?

The Al Qaeda are really creating problems in the world today. They are really savages because they use women as human bullets.

There was a documentary on HBO last month "Two Die in Jerusalem". It was about a woman that lost her young daughter to a young female suicide bomber. The family was quite proud of their daughter, as was her community. She grew up seeing this as a heroic act. I felt so sad after watching it.
