Default Words of Wisdom

Share something that someone said that changed your outlook on life.........
Could be from your grandma , your child or even your dog.

This is something the Lord shared with me not too long ago...
"It is easy to be compassionate toward those that love you, but the true trick is to have compassion for those that don't."

Therein lies the real reward.

I was about 18. My friend was making a party for her parents anniversary. She had told me I was to be invited, yet I never got an invitation. I really wanted to go. My mom said to me "would you rather be missed somewhere that you are expected, or be unwanted somewhere you show up?"

Those words really have helped me a lot in making some choices along the way. That particular night, the party had changed and I was not really invited. I was glad I had not gone.

One of the few Irish saying that has survived in my family is the following:

Meallan muilte Dé go mall ach meallan siad go mion

It means "God's mill grinds slowly, but it grinds finely". Which means patience, girl, patience, and keep working at it.

If nothing changes...nothing changes. If you're unhappy about an aspect of your life, well...

My Grandmother once said to me when I was worried about something before it happened! 'never trouble trouble 'til trouble troubles you'. Wise words indeed as the worry I had never happened.
