Default we're back!

the trip was really really nice and well needed. we had 2 layovers, but they lined up so we literally went from one plane to the next. (almost too quickly, had about 2 minutes each time before the gate closed!). izzy did really well on 3 out of the 4 flights. we will definitely be moving out to texas within the next few weeks. which is VERY exciting. we already found a nice apartment & dh found a few jobs. now it's just coming up with the moving expenses... which leads to vent #1.

my DM denied my vacation & terminated me because they apparently made a new rule (without notifying us) that you cannot take vacation during May because of mother's day. finding the money to move was already going to be hard, now it's going to be even harder. but it makes the move that much more important now that dh & i both are unemployed & there are NO jobs in our area. (you can't even waiter.)

#2. while we were away, our good friends dog sat our larger dog for us. the original plan was for them to take him to their house, or at the very least spend an hour here a day so he can run. i'm 99% sure they came, gave him a bowl of food and left. they had our house key, so when we got into town we called them so we could get the key and get home. she was out at a play, and he was out at a party. we had to wait a half an hour for him to come home and give us our key. i had just spoken with them the night before and told them we'd be home by 8pm.

#3. my mom dog sat our chihuahua... and then lost her for about 6 hours. i found out by a neighbor calling and telling me. i then had to get ahold of my mom, and tell her to get home. by the time she got home, it was already dark.

this is getting really long, but i had to get it off my chest! thanks for reading!

Good luck. I hear you on moving cost. D is still searching for jobs in OR(his home town). We'd love to move there- but cannot do it without a stable job there- he has a great job here.

Ughh at the mishaps while you were away. ((hugs))

well we're probably leaving saturday, so better hop in the car! jk.

i'm annoyed they didn't tell me (especially before i left), but at the same time, it's a blessing in disguise. just gets us moving faster!

it looks like we're going to put most of our stuff into storage until we get the $1400 for movers to move it. just pack what we NEED, then get a bed for izzy (i already had them priced, and found a perfect one @ BRU for ~$80) & an airbed for us for 3-4 weeks until we get the cash. thankfully, we're going to be able to take both cars. 2 adults, 1 toddler, 1 chihuahua and 1 german shepard mix... it'd be just a little crammed in my little cobalt!

What a nightmare. I hope things work out in the end though.
