Default YAY - loose tooth!

So Vince has finally gotten a loose tooth - almost near the end of Kindergarten. He's 6 1/2 and I guess it's not really that late to start losing teeth, but it got me thinking. Do you remember what ages your kids started loosing their teeth? My niece is a week older than Vince and she's already lost 6 of her baby teeth.

He's so thrilled too, because nearly all of his classmates have gaps in their mouths. He has been wiggling it furiously, so I would bet he comes home with the tooth in his pocket today.

While I'm on the subject, how much does the tooth fairy usually bring your kids? A gal I used to work with gave $10 a tooth, which I thought was outrageous! I think the tooth fairy will be bringing Vince a buck.

And one more thing - when we were little we put our baby teeth in a glass of water and left it on the windowsill for the tooth fairy - but I can't find anyone else who has ever done that. Everyone else I chat with has always put the tooth under their pillow. Where the heck did my mom come up with the "glass of water in the windowsill" thing??

We always leave teeth under the pillow too.

I give them a pound per tooth. The older ones were about 6 1/2 when they started losing their teeth but my middle child is 8 1/2 and has only lost his bottom middle two. His top ones have almost completely worn down so I'm hoping he loses them soon.
