UGH!
So I went to the ER last night with contractions. They were pretty painful and regular. I also lost a glob of mucus that looked a lot like my mucus plug.
So When I got there they had me waiting for an hour and a half in the waiting room. Then I went back and met with the nurse who tried to find the heartbeat via doppler. Nothing was heard. Then the doc came in and I told him what was going on. He said hmmm where is your OB? I was like... He's in Puyallup, thats where I moved from. He gave me a dirty look and said "That just wont do you have to find someone up here!" (that pissed me off, I wanted to say WELL you effers referred me to a doc up here but they treated me so horribly I went off on everyone in the office!)
So he did a pelvic exam, sent some samples to the lab and ordered monitoring. The L&D nurses came down and hooked me up to the monitor. One of them was able to find the heartbeat (thank goodness!) but wouldn't you know it, the contractions stopped once I was hooked up. I still had cramping and backpain but the tightening had stopped.
So the doc came back in 10 minutes later (yes I was only monitored for 10 minutes) and said that I was fine. I was like this is frustrating because I WAS feeling contractions, i know what they feel like.. and he was like "well the machine doesnt lie does it?" I was like omg wtf. I tried explaining that it was most painful when I was walking... but they didn't listen. They discharged me with paperwork that said possibly miscarriage despite no real bleeding. I had some spotting but that was not important really because I have a subchorionic hematoma so I spot a lot anyway. So I was sent home, and I was having contractions as I was walking out. But I didn't go back in... I decided I am never going to that ER again. Instead if I have to go to the ER I will drive down to Puyallup (1 1/2 away) to the ER down there so that my doc can come and see me if he needs to or whatever. I felt like they were telling me I was a liar! UGH!
I stayed home from work today to rest... My abs and uterus are still really sore from yesterday so it hurts to do anything. But I guess I will just keep pushing the fluids and laying down. How frustrating.
Good news is baby's heart rate is 180.
