Default Yet another great role model

As is watching Britney Spears live her trainwreck of a life through the media wasn't enough-- her little 16 year old sister is pregnant now....

Nice......

I can hardly wait to see what the next generation of "role models" for my daughter turn out to be like.....

I don't believe celebrities are obliged to be role models. That said, I would be devastated if my daughter fell pregnant at that age. I'd love the grandchild if she kept it, and support her the best I could, but I'd wish things were different.
Some 16 year old mums do a great job. Britney is much older and does a terrible job. It will be hard for Jamie as so many will be expecting her to fail just like her sister. Hopefully she will set out to prove them all wrong and do a great job. And let's hope Britney gets the rehabilitation she so desperately needs.

Im happy she decided to keep the baby...funny thing is her and her BF met at church but im just happy she isnt going to let the media and everyone else affect ehr decision...hopefully she has people who will support her through this. My mom was pregnant at 16 w/ me and i turned out just fine...justs because her sister is a horrible mother doesnt mean she will be

At least this one is behaving responsibly - announcing it, saying that other sixteen year olds should not be finding themselves in this situation, and makeing decisions on where and how to raise the child.

Maybe she learned something from her older sister.

I think filming on her series is complete through next season.

I sure hope she does a better job than Britney and I think she will. I want to smack Lil Miss Brit Brit every time I hear she's done something stupid that could have endangered her children. And what's up with her blowing off court dates and court orders? Perturbs me she is acting so childish and stupid thinking that just because she's a celebrity that she'll get away scott-free. So, yes, I really hope for Jamie Lynn's sake that she stay far away from her sister for her baby's sake.

Now her boyfriend may face statutory rape charges. What do you think of that?

Just because she is 16 doesn't mean that she will be a bad mother. Some 16 year olds make better mothers than older ones, in my opinion. I'm glad that she at least is taking the responsible route and acknowleding what she did isn't the best situation but she at least plans to raise the child. The world we live in today, yes 16 year olds do get pregant, even younger ones at that! Of course we don't want that happening to our own children, but it does in some cases. Sometimes I feel that children are too sheltered with certain things in the world.
