Default yet another teething question

about how long does it take from the time teething symptoms start until it's through and they're no longer in pain? i think izzy's FINALLY starting to get her 1st tooth. she's fussy, doesn't really want to eat, has a fever, drools more than normal & holds her gum. (then will shove her hand in my mouth to hold MY teeth in the same area like "mommy, this is where it hurts" so cute.) i couldn't feel anything when i checked last night, but if it's not teething then somebody pray for me! tia

It depends on the bab and the tooth. Aiden's first 2 teeth were pain free. He was a happy little boy. They took ages to come through though. His next set cam in within 4 days and he was so cranky. He had a sore bum, loose stools, red checks and a fever. He was not a very happy baby. I hope your little one gets her's soon.

Katelyn's first teeth took a long time also. She started teething around April and it came through in August! Her next tooth didn't hurt her at all though and came through the next month, sept. Then she didn't get anymore till March! And those two seemed painless too and only took 2 weeks to come through.

Good Luck!! I hope they come through soon and she's not in pain anymore!

Awww that poor baby. I remember those days. It is hard to watch your little ones in pain. My babies teeth took a long time to come out. The doctor said that they had really hard gums. To help them work the teeth out and numb the pain I would give them frozen mini bagels to chew on. They do not become a big mushy mess all over the place like teething cookies do. Freezing damp washclothes works well too. Then you can always have clean ones ready in the freezer in ziplocks.
