Default Yoga and pain relief

Hatha Yoga is excellent for back problems, as it promotes muscle strength and flexibility. Practiced daily it can make a huge difference to the health of your spine. Chiropractic is also really good for spianl problems, my chiropractor has done wonders when the family doctor recommend codeine-based painkillers. Also two tennis balls placed into a sock and tightly tied together is a useful tool for neck and head problems. Lie flat on the floor and place the tennis ball ensemble at the point where the head touches the floor. Lying for 10-15 minutes in this way releives a lot of head and neck tension and promotes relaxation.

Default Tennis ball tenson relief

Chiropractors sell these things for upwards of $30, so getting a sock a couple of tennis balls is a really cheap yet effective alternative. The hardest part is getting the exact right spot on the back of your head for tballs to lie, but if you feel round carefully, it's just the part where your head would naturally lie on the floor.

Thanks for the tip, Beth. I've had a lot of neck and back issues lately. This occured mostly during moving. Be careful when you lift and know when to stop!

This sounds great! My trainer person has me doing stretches on the foamy roller for legs and hips,,,. The concept is when you get to a point that is unconfortable, hold it for 30 seconds. It really feels good (after).... I am going to try this with the tennis balls. I don't think I'll have any problems locating some.
